Berlin landmark walks: the government district and beyond

Berlin is not a single compact sightseeing loop. The Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag form one close pair. The TV Tower and East Side Gallery take the collection east, so treat them as other chapters of the trip.

Choose the walk that fits your day

A smaller first outing

Start with Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag surroundings. This government-district pair is a more manageable first target than all four city Charms.

When you have more time

Make Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower another anchor, then plan a separate visit to the East Side Gallery. Use public transport between areas if it suits your day.

These are our editorial route suggestions, not measured itineraries or an accessibility assessment. Live Trails build from nearby available Charms and may select different stops.

The Berlin collection, stop by stop

  1. 01

    Brandenburg Gate

Use the open square to get your bearings, observing any temporary barriers or event restrictions.

  2. 02

    Reichstag Dome

Visiting the dome requires registration. Stay in permitted areas and do not treat a Charm pin as permission to enter the building.

  3. 03

    TV Tower

Begin a separate Alexanderplatz outing here. Tower admission and a street-level walk are different activities.

Visitor access comes first

Passported is free to download, with optional in-app purchases. It does not include attraction tickets, transport or permission to enter private areas. A Charm may be unavailable if its pin cannot be reached safely and legally. Never cross a barrier, road or waterway just to claim it.
